According to Eater SF, the vacated Delano’s on South Van Ness in the Mission has come under a bidding war between UK grocery giant Fresh & Easy and bargain hunter’s delight Grocery Outlet (do they even sell fresh produce?). What’s best for the community who will actually shop at the location?

Eater SF reports that Fresh & Easy is looking to sign a lease in two weeks, but for some reason the United Food and Commercial Workers union is protesting the move. Is it because Fresh & Easy isn’t using union labor?
