Oaktoberfest is Oakland's TWO-DAY Family Friendly Craft Beer Festival that celebrates art, music, culture and Oakland in a big way! Spanning over a full weekend of fun, Oaktoberfest offers four stages of music and dance performances, roaming entertainment, hundreds of vendors including an outdoor artisan vendor marketplace, a mouthwatering collection of food trucks, pop-up's by local kitchens along with traditional German inspired cuisine.
For our 21+ over friends, Oaktoberfest boasts over 200+ local craft brews, making our event a destination for beer enthusiasts. From the Bill Brand Biergarten, to the HopTech Homebrewers' Alley & to the Brewer's BBQ VIP Area, enthusiasts can enjoy some of the best local and regional brews around.
Friends of all ages can enjoy Oaktoberfest's signature RootBier Garten along the Head-Royce School Family Strasse that is lined with interactive Kid's Games and activities, the Renaissance International School Parents' Chill Zone and the Supervisor Nate Mile Family Stage features youth performers from all across the Bay Area.
Oaktoberfest kicks off with an opening keg-tapping ceremony with Mayor Libby Schaaf and a traditional performance by Deutscher Musikverein of San Francisco. Throughout the weekend, the festival welcomes performances by The Crux, Polkalicious, Bayonics, Midtown Social Club, Rob Reich Trio, Andre Thierry, Oakland School for the Arts, and so much more!
The ultimate feel good event, Oaktoberfest is designed not only to celebrate the proud history of a shining district in Oakland, but also to raise funds for improvement projects, community development programs, and future events in Oakland's Dimond District. The success of this festival relies on committed volunteers, generous sponsors and community partners and engaged local businesses and area residents, whose positive impacts uplifts the community.
