TURKUAZ AND NTH POWER AFTER PARTY SPECTACULAR featuring members of Nth Power, Turkuaz and Stanton Moore Trio with Jake Nielsen’s Triple Threat
COME BOOGIE DOWN for the Turkuaz/Nth Power after party, featuring: Nikkie Glaspie (Drums- Nth Power) Nate Edgar (Bass- Nth Power) Nick Cassarino (Guitar- Nth Power) Wil Blades (B3- Stanton Moore Trio) Josh Schwartz (Bari Sax- Turkuaz) Greg Sanderson (Tenor Sax- Turkuaz) Chris Brouwers (Trumpet- Turkuaz) & a special appearance by the lovely Shira Elias from Turkuaz on vocals! Jake Nielsen’s Triple Threat Jake Nielsen is the hottest new act in the blues scene! He’s been making his way through the West Coast making lasting impressions on everyone that watches his talent, and inspiring with his passion! Sometime during his adolescence he discovered music. He was 15 when he first started playing guitar, and caught on very quickly. He was 17 when he formed his first reggae/rock band FUBAR. Together this band accomplished a lot. They played in many different festivals, and opened up for many great bands like Passafire, Ballyhoo, Opio, Isreal Vibrations, Mike Pinto, Rebelution and many more. They won the Monterey Battle of the Bands in 2007 and a Swagg Award for best reggae album in 2010. At some point though Jake felt the calling to play some blues, he began attending pro jams in his area and collaborated with some very talented musicians, such as bass player Chris Weinress and Derrick D’Mar Martin and recorded his first self titled album ‘Jake Nielsen’s Triple Threat” available on Itunes. Generating a lot of attention for his live performance, with so much energy and funk you have to get out of your seat and dance! With this album Jake played all over California, opened for big names such as Elvin Bishop, Roy Rogers and Travis Warren of Blind Melon. And also making his international debut in Canada, Also his song ‘Drinkn Blues’ was featured in a short film called Bondi Blues with Dan Aykroyd.
