TRIXIE AND THE SKATES LIVE AT EL RIO

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Join us in sight & sound on October 4th at El Rio.

THE NIGHT FALLS (10PM)
"San Francisco's The Night Falls uses a haunting blend of indie and Americana to introduce the audience to war stories of love lost wrapped in the sweet guise of instantly soul stirring alt.country songs. These are songs for late night philosophers to whisper to one another in hushed tones, with no hope of ever finding the exact answer they seek."
- DNA Lounge

RAVEN MARCUS (9PM)
This female fronted trio falls under the genre is Cowboy Glam Rock; think mandolin inspired rock and roll with lots of gold glitter and a hint of twang. If The Slits morphed with David Bowie and had harmonies like a feminine Simon and Garfunkel, you'd be pretty close to Raven Marcus. Raven Marcus coined the genre Cowboy Glam Rock to encompass their theatrical, sexually charged performance style and their divergent instrumentation.

TRIXIE AND THE SKATES (8PM)
Trixie and the Skates is the most recent incarnation of music from Trixie Rasputin and her partners, The Skates. The band has blended piano, strings, guitars, drums and Trixie's vocal stylings to create a new sound that blends folk, rock, and blues music into one sound.

VISUAL ARTIST: CRYSTAL VIELULA
Crystal Hermann is an artist, fashion and costume designer living and working in San Francisco.
