Artwork by Catherine Mackey
Catherine's work explores the visual experience of everyday urban life. Her paintings and drawings convey everything from abandoned buildings and old piers, to warehouses, bicycles and bubblegum machines. The common threads running through this seemingly diverse collection of subjects are utilitarian pragmatism, structural honesty, and an inadvertent beauty often arrived at through time and decay.
