Ring in the New Year with Imaginary Radio, Sean Keane, Nina Daniels & a boatload of special guests! On December 31st, we present a night of music, stand-up, and sketches at the newly-opened PianoFight theater-restaurant-and-bar complex in the heart of SF. And stay after the late show on New Years Eve for a dance party, complete with a band and full bar.
Featuring:
IMAGINARY RADIO: The duo of Drennon Davis & Nick Stargu (AKA DJ Real) has brought their blend of songs, sketches, magic, and sweet dance moves all over the country, from South By Southwest to SF Sketchfest to the Bridgetown Comedy Festival to Noisepop.
If you venture into this awkward yet ultimately rewarding late-night show, you may well come out of it thinking that Drennon Davis is a bit of a genius.” - The Times (UK)
DRENNON DAVIS has appeared on Adam Devine's House Party (on Comedy Central), Last Comic Standing, Last Call With Carson Daly, and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His act involves live-looping of music, beat boxing, impressions, and lots of greasy funk. The LA Weekly called him one of the Top Ten Comedy Acts To Watch in 2014. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll marvel at the rotary telephone microphone!
NICK STARGU is an SF-based musical comedian and one half of the Imaginary duo. He's appeared at Bridgetown, Sketchfest, and Noise Pop, and he's even opened for Devo. Be wary of his amazing dance moves - you just might fall in love.
SEAN KEANE is an SF expatriate currently living in Los Angeles. He's also performed at Bridgetown, Sketchfest, and Noise Pop, and in 2014, the SF Bay Guardian called him an "outstanding local discovery." Sean has written for Comedy Central and CBS, and was a founder of The Business, a weekly comedy showcase that regularly won Best of SF acclaim, and now has franchises in New York & Los Angeles. Sean is a Gemini and eats a great deal of cauliflower.
NINA DANIELS is an actress, comedian, and cellist originally from New York. She has appeared on Showtime's "Masters of Sex," the Sundance award-winning film "Pariah," and the Fox Searchlight film "Notorious." Her autobiographical storytelling, and her cohort "Gerry the Cello" have delighted audiences from New York to Japan - and yes, she speaks Japanese. Nina is a former heptathlete, investment banker, and accomplished step dancer - there's almost too many sweet dance moves for one show!
Showtimes are 7 and 9 on 12/31. Tickets available at pianofight.com.
