Her book "Creative Composites: Race, Modernism, and the Stieglitz Circle" brings together her interests in photography and new media, race and ethnic studies, and the relationships between abstraction and figuration. Kroiz’s talk brings her current research on Ad Reinhardt to the classic 1960–65 abstract painting from the BAMPFA collection.
