Imagine a place where Indian classical folk traditions collide into the fringes of electronic music. Where the laid back space of dub reggae meets the energy of bass rattling dancefloors. This is the contoured landscape San Francisco based DJ and Producer Janaka Selekta evokes.

Suhail Yusuf Khan

Suhail, a devoted Sarangi player has been hailed as a child prodigy in the world of music. Suhail comes from a rich musical background and descends from the Moradabad-Rampur and Senia Gharana of MIYAAN TANSEN. He is the grandson of renowned Sarangi legend Padmabhushan and Padmashree awardee USTAD SABRI KHAN and nephew of the Sarangi genius Ustad KAMAL SABRI. An eighth generation Sarangi player carrying on with his rich family tradition.

Inspired by the sound of Sarangi, Suhail started learning this majestic instrument at a tender age of Seven from his Uncle and Grand father under the traditional Guru-Shishya parampara. Gave his first live performance at the age of 11 with his Grand father and Uncle. Since then he has been performing regularaly.

Gods Robots

Gods Robots define a brand new sound by seamlessly blending English lyrics with a pop music edge, classical Indian instrumentation and bass heavy underground rhythms.

Gods Robots is a global collaboration between Mumbai-based vocalist ShriiK (Shridevi Keshavan) and San Francisco-based
electronic music producer Janaka Selekta (Janaka Atugoda).
Shriik has years of formal training in Carnatic classical music
and is noted for her outstanding ability to seamlessly blend both
classical and contemporary vocal elements in both live and studio
settings. Janaka is a veteran DJ and producer of the West
Coast's underground dance music scene, and is known for his
distinctive sound, influenced by dub, dubstep, DnB, breakbeat,
reggae, and South Asian folk and classical music.

The duo first began to create music together via the Internet,
six months before ever meeting in person. By the time they met
face to face, they had laid the foundation for what has since become one of the most critically acclaimed acts in the emerging
generation of global electronic music.

MTV World selected Gods Robots to perform at the Asia Society's
prestigious annual awards dinner as a representation of
MTV's efforts to improve the visibility of Asian culture in the
West. Bit Torrent showcased the duo's early work in their carefully
curated Artist Spotlight program. Most recently, Gods

Rifftat Sultana & Party

Riffat Sultana (daughter of legendary Pakistani classical singer, the late Ustad Salamat Ali Khan) channels the musical wisdom of 500 years and eleven generations of master musicians in her family in India and Pakistan. Riffat is the first woman in her family to sing in public. For a Muslim woman in a traditional country, such a career simply was not appropriate. Perhaps one reason her performances today have such overwhelming emotional power is that she sings for all the woman in her distinguished family who never had that chance before. Riffat a beautiful Amazing singer performs Sufi, Ghazal, folk, classical and songs.

Riffat frequently performs with her group, “Riffat Sultana accompanied by her husband Richard Michos (aka Shiraz) on 12 and 6 string guitars, as well as musicians playing tablas, bansuri flute, harmonium and dhole. Shiraz, Riffat’s husband, is a student of the Ustad Salamat Ali Khan family, and has recorded and produced multiple albums with them. The group performs a wide variety of traditional and modern material thrilling audiences of all types.
