Friday Nights at the de Young: A Night of Sensations

Kick-start your weekend with free general admission, live music, art-making, cocktails, film screenings, panel discussions, lectures and exhibition tours, all in the name of art.

Join us on Friday, September 30th, for the 6th Annual Tiara Sensation Pageant, where contestants show their artistic talents to woo the audience and persuade the judges to crown one of them the next Tiara Sensation of San Francisco.

Join us for:

• Conversation with 'Paulson Bott Press: Celebrating Twenty Years' artists Hung Liu and Christopher Brown in Koret Auditorium at 7:15 pm
• 6th Annual Tiara Sensation Pageant by SOME THING
• Mixed-media art-making stations
• James Turrell's Three Gems in the Osher Sculpture Garden during its optimal viewing time—at sunset! Open 5–8:45 pm
• ‘mix-tape’ artist-in-residence reception for t.w.five
