Facts on File are a Los Angeles-based three-piece indie rock band crafts songs that modernize 60's garage-rock rhythms with overtones "showing an affinity for the New York punk scene of the late 1970s" (Wiretap Music, April 2010). Their pop-oriented song structures feature a "healthy amount of post-punk angularity" (FMLY Blog, April, 2010) and have drawn comparisons to Talking Heads, The Cars, or even an updated Suicide or a synth-free Devo.
The latest collection in their self-titled debut album include the single Keep it Together along with ten other minimal and spacious - yet danceable and memorable - songs. Lead vocals and songwriting by singer & bassist Joseph White are clearly influenced by early Rock and R&B. This is an album for fans of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Generationals, The Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Foster the People, and other breakout pop-oriented bands.
Facts on File's debut self-titled album charted on the CMJ top 200.
