Comedy for a Spinal Cause

Join us for a great night of laughter and community with a very special group of people and an even more special cause, Wednesday October 1st at the Barrel House, SF.  
All funds raised on the night will go to the Bay Area resident, Lance Hansen, who on July 30, 2012, was involved in  traumatic accident while working on a project in Woodland, California, and suffered a spinal cord injury , which left him paralyzed from the chest down, injury level T4/T5 Asia B. 
There will be wine and beer available and all proceeds generated on the night via ticket sales and drink donations will go directly to Lance for his continued rehabilitation.   
We have hilarious headlining comedians, cheap alcohol and beautiful people.

All our events have sold out so get tickets early to avoid disappointment. 
Doors open at 7, show starts at 7:45 and runs until 9:45pm.

Dhaya Lakshminarayanan was named Best Comedian 2013 in the SF Bay Guardian’s Best of the Bay Readers Poll. Comedy Central Asia crowned her the Grand Prize Winner of “The Ultimate Comedy Challenge” (2013). Her list of credits include the Bridgetown Comedy Festival (2013), SF Sketchfest (2013, 2012), the Boston Comedy Festival (2012 semifinalist), the Women in Comedy Festival (2013), the Limestone Comedy Festival (2014) and Laugh Your Asheville Off (2014). In addition, Dhaya is a storyteller appearing on NPR’s Snap Judgment, The Risk podcast Live in Austin, and ON24′s “Best Travel Disaster Story.” She is currently the host of San Francisco’s monthly Moth StorySLAM after winning a Moth StorySLAM (2013). http://dhayacomedy.com/
Dan St. Paul: After a seven-year stint of headlining San Francisco clubs in the comedy duo Murphy-St.Paul, Dan launched out on his own with a solo act that was to land him in the finals of the nation's toughest comedy competition, The San Francisco International Stand-Up Comedy Competition. He appeared on several episodes of "An Evening at the Improv", plus numerous shows on VH-1, MTV, and Comedy Central. Since then, he has opened for such superstars as Jerry Seinfeld, Natalie Cole, Dwight Yoakum, Smokey Robinson, and Vince Gill. In a testament to the class of his act, Dan even opened for the San Francisco Symphony ("These guys are great! I knew them back when they were just a garage band.") .He appeared in the movie "Flubber" with Robin Williams, and signed a recording deal with MCA records. His CD, "Natural and Good for You" contains one the most requested comedy pieces on radio, "The First Baseball Game". Kaseem Bentley: Named SF Weekly Best of Award Winner for “Racial Humor You Don’t Feel Guilty Laughing At” and one of the Bay Area’s “Top 5 Comedians to Watch” by the San Jose Mercury News and Kaseem Bentley is an African American insult comic from San Francisco. Growing up with his ‘hardcore class clown’ father and mom that was like a tough Claire Huxtable Kaseem developed his no-holds-barred comedic style that made friends and co-workers always laugh. He works at the SF Punchline, Cobb’s,countless bars, and b rooms and just recently performed at the San Francisco Comedy and Burrito Festival.http://sfsketchfest.com/x/performers/kaseem-bentley/ 
Juan Medina is one of the most highly-visible, and occasionally loudest, standup comedians working in the Bay Area. Juan is the President of the Bay Area production company True Hustle Entertainment, runs his own weekly show (The PM Show with Juan Medina), was a guest of dishonor at both SF Sketchfest and SF IndieFest,, and has performed at independent showcases and major clubs across California.
Jules Posner has been featured on Jokes.com’s No Drink Minimum and Rooftopcomedy.com’s Road Trip on Hulu. He also performs regularly at SF Sketchfest, is a member of The Business, and was named “not a poser” by Skateboard Magazine’s “are you a poser” quiz.
