Painting, much unlike all the other design/color work I've done for much of my life, allows me to reconnect and recollect, to the immediacy of my travel experiences.
Even if I don't get to finish the painting onsite, usually because of the weather or darkness, "Plein-Air" allows me to fill in the blanks using all of my senses once back in the studio.
I grew up in upstate New York near Canada and have always loved nature.The paintings in this exhibition have been chosen from a body of work spanning the last 20 years of travel, mostly in Scandinavia, Europe, and Greece.
I hope you enjoy the places in these landscapes as much as I have.
