Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair are a writing/directing team based out of Brooklyn, NY. Their first collaboration, High Maintenance, began as an art project before becoming a critically acclaimed web series and HBO series. The HBO season has received numerous accolades from The New Yorker, The New York Times, and many others. In 2015, the team won the Writers’ Guild of America Award for Best Original Short-Form New Media for their work on the High Maintenance episode “Rachel.”
Katja (Executive Producer, Writer, Director), previously a casting director, has won an Emmy Award for her work on the critically acclaimed series 30 Rock. In addition, she has cast on major motion pictures, as well as numerous network television series, and spent several years in NBC’s East Coast casting office casting series regulars for their pilots.
Ben (Executive Producer, Writer, Director) is also an actor and editor, both of which he does for High Maintenance. Originally trained in theater, Ben has since focused primarily on filmmaking and film-acting. He has appeared in such mainstream titles as Sisters, Mercy, Safe, Law & Order: SVU, Delocated, The Big C, The Gifted Man, and 30 Rock.
