Signature Mayer Hawthorne Burger Returns to Umami Burger
Recording artist Mayer Hawthorne has played sold out shows across the country, to thousands of adoring fans. But a little known fact—he is also the first recording artist with his very own Umami Burger.
”The Hawthorne,” which first appeared on Umami menu’s last October, is returning later this month in celebration of Hawthorne’s upcoming album release, Where Does This Door Go.
The burger was personally designed by Hawthorne, in collaboration with Umami Burger’s culinary team. It features cognac-infused parsnip puree, Umami’s signature beef patty, cognac fondue sauce, hatch chiles and crispy hatch chile straws.
“I’m a huge fan and it is quite an honor to be the first recording artist with my own Umami Burger,” Hawthorne said. “I wanted to create something that was distinctly me and something I would want to order on every visit. My personal motto is ‘flashy but classy’ and that’s The Hawthorne. We nailed it.”
”The Hawthorne” launches on Tuesday, July 16 at select Umami Burger locations, including the restaurant on Union Street in San Francisco.
