Dining Out on Christmas in San Francisco

Christmas Day is usually spent with family and relatives, eating around the dinner table at someone’s home. But there are options for those looking to eat out in San Francisco on December 25.

Bisou – The French bistro is offering a special four-course dinner menu for $60. Guests can choose from several items including appetizers like fresh wild crab and lobster bisque or entrees of wild king salmon and veal tenderloin – just a portion of the Christmas menu. Bisou is located at 2367 Market Street.

Brasserie S&P – Located inside the Mandarin Oriental, Brasserie S&P is offering both a Christmas Day brunch and dinner. Brunch is being offered from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m ($65 for adults, $35 for children). There will be plenty of traditional breakfast items, a children’s buffet and entrees like Local Dungeness Crab Lo Mein, Roast Turkey w/ Stuffing and Gravy, Croque Monsieur and Roasted Yan Puree. Dinner will be three courses ($75 per person, additional $45 for wine pairing) with several choices for diners from Chef Adam Mali (Fennel Salad, Roasted Celery Root Soup, Roasted Cornish Game Hen, Roasted Whole Dungeness Crab). Brasserie S&P is located at the Mandarin Oriental at 222 Sansome Street.

Trace – Trace in the W San Francisco is offering a four-course tasting menu from Executive Chef Paul Piscopo. Among the courses – Sliced Yellowtail, Roasted Sea Scallops, Chestnut Agnolotti, Pan Roasted Black Cod, Porcini Rubbed Beef Filet and Toasted Bay Leaf Panna Cotta. Dinner is $75 per person. Trace is located at the W San Francisco at 181 3 rd Street.

Velvet Room – Celebrate Christmas at the Velvet Room at the CLIFT Hotel with a four-course prix-fixe menu. One of the signature dishes will be the Herb Roasted Prime Rib with sweet potato gratin and buttery black truffle Brussels sprouts from Executive Chef Thomas Weibull. Dinner is $75 per person. The Velvet Room is located at the CLIFT Hotel at 495 Geary Street.

Zingari Ristorante – The restaurant is offering a three-course dinner accompanied with live jazz throughout the evening. Choices include appetizers like Zuppa, Polenta con Funghi and Fritto Misto. Entree choices range from Salmone to Pan Seared Scallops, a Rack of Lamb and Lobster Ravioli. Price is $69 per person. Zingari Ristorante is located at 501 Post Street.
