Anthony Bourdain, Eric Ripert to Share the Stage in SF

Anthony Bourdain has finished up his stint on Travel Channel and is set to host two other shows (one on ABC and the other on CNN). But he will also be sharing the stage with his good friend, Eric Ripert, for one night only in San Francisco next April.

The Good vs. Evil tour will feature the two chefs and friends sharing stories about their very different careers and opining on food in the scope of life.

Expect the night at the SHN Orpheum Theatre (Friday, April 12) to be full of strong opinions, stories behind the kitchen doors and insights from two great culinary minds. Along with being chef-at-large at New York’s Brasserie Les Halles, Bourdain is an author (Kitchen Confidential and Medium Raw) and has hosted the Emmy Award-winning No Reservations and The Layover on Travel Channel. In 2013, he will host The Taste, a cooking competition series on ABC and a docu-series for CNN. He is never short on opinions and his departure from Travel Channel has led to quite a hubbub (long story short – Travel Channel used Bourdain’s image/voice for a Cadillac ad without his consent; read more here).

Ripert is the chef and co-owner of New York’s famed Le Bernardin, which has received universal acclaim, including three stars from the Michelin Guide and an unprecedented “29” food rating from the Zagat Guide for the past three years. He has also served as a guest judge on Bravo’s Top Chef for several seasons and has authored four cookbooks.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 16 at 10am. with prices ranging from $70-90. Tickets will be available by phone at 888-746-1799 or online at shnsf.com. The show is scheduled for Friday night, April 12 at 8:00 p.m. at the Orpheum Theatre (1182 Market Street).
