Crazy P Visits Monarch Hot on the Heels of "When We On"

Friday, September 14, Crazy P Soundsystem comes to Monarch on a tour following the success of their album, When We On, released on UK-based house label, 20:20 Vision, and in the US on local disco and deep-house label, Smoke N Mirrors.

The group is currently touring as a trio, comprised of core members, Chris Todd (aka Hot Toddy) and James Baron, and accompanied by singer, Danielle Moore. Calling on influence that starts with—but isn’t limited to—90s house, disco, funk, and pop, Todd and Baron had a vision for live dance music that breathes soul.

Their partnership goes back to 1996, when Todd and Baron met in Nottingham. As producers, they saw their music come to life when they added live band members, Tim Davies, Matt Klose, and Moore. They released four albums in the early 2000s and saw their opportunities for worldwide DJ gigs and live shows broaden as they gained recognition for their work.

After over a decade since they began, their music is still relevant, catching attention from DJs and producers in the deep house scene, including the Wolf + Lamb crew and Crosstown Rebels.

For their appearance at Monarch, they will be joined by one of SF’s funky favorites, PillowTalk, along with support from Navid Izadi and Shiny Objects. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.
