John Vanderslice Announces Co-Headlining Tour with Crooked Fingers

The hometown hero John Vanderslice is taking his show on the road. Vanderslice will be making a handful of appearances up and down the East Coast and in the Midwest with indie giants Crooked Fingers.

Crooked Fingers was formed in 2000 by Eric Bachmann, singer and front man for the highly influential North Carolina-based band Archers of Loaf.

After their dissolution Bachmann formed Crooked Fingers and took a much more straight-forward songwriting approach. The result is stripped-down rock with some folk and some americana thrown in for good measure – a perfect match for the direction Vanderslice has been heading as of late. Having just performed the entirety of David Bowie’s Diamond Dogs live, it seems likely that some of those works of wonder will be in Vanderslice’s set as well as some on-stage collaborations between he and Bachmann. For fans of from-the-heart songwriting and in-the-gut performance this tour is not to be missed.
