This Saturday August 11th, Lights Down Low returns to Monarch with one-of-kind NYC rapper Le1f. As an out and proud gay MC, rapper, and producer, Le1f’s combination of talent and personality are quickly propelling him to the forefront of a new era of hip-hop.

His newest mixtape Dark York was released on Das Racist’s Greedhead Entertainment label, and the single “Wut” has gained attention from media publications like Spin and Pitchfork. Most notably, “Wut” is produced by Bay Area’s own 5kinAndBone5. Dark York is a mixture of glossy rap and electronic music, and is truly something we’ve never really heard before. Also on the bill are local DJs S4NtA_MU3rTE and Dj Rapidfire, along with residents Richie Panic, Joaquin Barta, and Sleazemore.
