La Trappe (800 Greenwich Street) is celebrating the conclusion of SF Beer Week in style tonight with a special event dedicated to the food and drink of Italy. And what better of a place for a paesano pairing than in North Beach?

Usually dedicated to Belgian fare, Chef Chris Keeley has created a six course menu to specifically accompany an array of Italian artisanal brews from such birrifici as Del Borgo, Baladin, Del Ducato, Almond 22, Birrificio Troll and a number of other surprises.

A few tickets still remain, and can be purchased here for a reasonable cost of $65, all inclusive.

I’ve had the good fortune to attend a couple of events at La Trappe this week and they have all been memorable. Between the quality of the food and drink and the friendly, knowledgeable service defining this old-world refuge, Italian Night is sure to leave you with a belly full of merriment–not to mention a whole lot of great grub.
