Over the next four days, Perbacco (230 California Street) will be offering a delectable holiday menu dedicated to the seasonal savoriness of the chestnut. Specially crafted by owner Umberto Gibin and head chef Steffan Terje, the $55 prix fixe menu will be available from the 19th until the 23rd of December and will consist of the following:

Minestra di Castagne e Funghi – Chestnut and Wild Mushroom Minestra

Tortelloni di Castagna – Chestnut Flour Pasta filled with Braised Chestnuts, Mortadella and Parmigiano

Reggiano served in Herb Broth

Faraona – Roasted Breast and Braised Thigh of Guinea Hen, Chestnut Polenta and Savoy Cabbage,
