Indie-pop duo Yacht is back and bringing a little science fiction with them. Made up of inventive gal rockers Jona Bechtolt and Claire L. Evans, the duo has released two songs from its forthcoming album, Shangri-La, set to release on June 21^st.

The album combines feminine, imaginative vocals with electric and synth-pop beats that can’t help but make you feel a little out of this world, in the best way possible. Case in point: “Utopia” and “Dystopia,” the first two tracks from the album, have you singing “the earth is on fire” and envisioning what your perfect, futuristic world might be. “Utopia” is bursting with funk and disco influences, while “Dystopia” is a bit darker, but maintaining that boppy melody that we all expect from Yacht.
