Ziryab is the first bar in San Francisco to feature house made ginger beer on draft, and we feel
that we are utilizing it to come up with some special cocktails. One of the cocktails on the list is
steeped in San Francisco history. The drink is named after a bar which was known for a classic
cocktail, which the recipe we've tweaked a bit to add extra dimensions of flavor.
The large block ice is an amazing way to enjoy spirits on the rocks (rather big crystal clear rock),
since the dilution rate is much slower so you get to more fully enjoy the spirit. We are already
selling a lot more of our high end whiskey from our selection of over 80 select choices, especially the bourbon in delicious old fashioneds. One of the new drinks will feature an unusual modern blended whiskey with house made chocolate molé bitters made from the excellent cacao beans roasted by brilliant San Francisco chocolatier Dandelion.
