Yves Tumor - TO SPITE OR NOT TO SPITE
with Pretty Sick, Evanora Unlimited

Yves Tumor shifts, alters, and plays with the boundaries of contemporary art and culture in a boundlessly visceral and authentic sonic signature. With an arc that graces rock, psychedelia, and electronica in a constant re-invention of modern pop music, comparisons only serve as limitations intended to define that which cannot be. Yves Tumor melds restraint and chaos in a soulful clarity; diluting reality by giving meaning to the abstract and allowing for dissonance to be seen and heard as harmony.

"The quintessential performer, Tumor exudes Prince's androgyny flare, D'Angelo's tender masculinity, Iggy Pop's freakazoid mania, and Grace Jones' magnetic mystique." -- The Austin Chronicle, Oct 2021

~~~~~~~~
Try to unravel, and the dimensions and personas spill out like the cracked and warped contents of a grotesquely beautiful matryoshka doll. A gothic soundscape auteur? Details are scant, so the music does most of the talking...To see Yves Tumor step upon a stage is to be thrashed by a howling cyberpunk fiend - yet filter the recorded output and be treated to a kaleidoscopic union of classic songwriting and lobotomized sound experiments.  The duality unveils subtly but hints and images can be parsed from music and lyrics, giving that impression that on experience and listen it just might be possible that everything will come into a pop perfect focus.
