Seven Davis Jr (Secret Angels)
"Sev" is a multi genre Singer, Songwriter and Producer. A bit reclusive, he prefers to spend time creating. On special occasions he will tour and or perform live. On rare occasions he might appear for a DJ set.
He began professional training as a jazz vocalist in his early childhood, and studied production styles of various genres in his teens. He also worked as a vocal arranger, ghostwriter/ghost producer, until deciding to pursue his own solo career in 2012.
Since his debut in 2012 he has worked with and or shared the stage with artists like Moodymann, Honey Dijon, Fourtet, Hot Chip, Steve Spacek, Lion Babe, Mark Ronson plus many more. He released his debut album "Universes" in 2015, on Ninja Tune Records. He left the UK label in 2016. In 2017 he self released sophomore album "Live from the Other Side", via his Secret Angels imprint. He also performed the LP live as the main opener on the Flying Lotus 3D Tour.
In the summer of 2018 he released underground retro gospel inspired 3rd album titled "Choir Boy". In 2019 he released downtempo 4th album, "S.O.S" (Self Over Stress). Towards the end of 2019 he introduced and released music under two new aliases, "Siete" and "Mean Bacharach". In 2020 he re-released tech house double EP "Sev Was Here" as one full project by fan request after he removed the project from streaming platforms in 2018. In 2021 he signed a distribution deal for his record label (Secret Angels) and released his latest album "I See The Future" .

In April 1981, a being entered this physical realm and landed in Houston, Texas. He then went about finding a space where all his cosmic ideas and sonic exertions could exist in harmony. He goes by the name of Seven Davis Jr.
Raised in California, SDjr. is a trained gospel vocalist, raised on the classic vocal sounds of Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin. He evolved with a love for jazz and classical before venturing into more mainstream/underground artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Portishead, Tricky and Bjork. With a strong artistic vision he rejected several major label offers at a young age opting instead to work behind the scenes writing, recording and anonymously assisting various other artists with their own careers.
He discovered house in his early adulthood and this influence can clearly be heard throughout his productions. Futuristic sounds with classic influence as well as somewhat alien concepts - This is future soul music.
Having battled some unhealthy addictions during adulthood, SDjr. transformed this negativity, ensuring it made a positive impact on his spiritual and physical evolution. After years of patiently waiting and creating in the shadows learning from everything life has thrown at him, he is now ready to share his stunning artistry with the world.
