Reverberations from last weekend's Pride festivities may still be ringing through your head, but the beat must go on! Catch an early groove with Qoöl Open Haus and get ready for the return ofDam Funk. L.A.'s reining purveyor of all things boogie is introducing his full band Master Blaster to the Bay Area on Thursday during his latest stop in San Francisco. If you're looking for a harder house beat, DJ Mehdi and Riton will have you covered at Carte Blanche with four turntables and one mixer. Fillmore Jazz Festival adds some swing into the mix with several stages on Fillmore Street. And if you're looking for a change of tempo altogether, take a day trip to Pool Jam with Negative People in Oakland or the Summer Festival Chili Cook-Off in Palo Alto. Just make sure you're back in SF to make some noise for the always-spectacular (unless it's foggy, of course) Fourth of July Waterfront Celebration.

Question of the week: How many times has Heidi Gibson, co-founder of American Grilled Cheese Kitchen, won the Grilled Cheese Invitational? First to find the answer in the Guide this week and email [email protected] wins two tickets to see Ariel Pink at Bimbo's on July 10th.
