Jones, Percy Mayfield, Etta James, B.B. King, and Jimmy Reed. But Ron Thompson does. This legendary San Francisco-based bluesman started performing in the 1970's, and has been playing and recording continuously ever since with multiple bands to his credit. And, to commemorate his contributions to the Bay Area live music scene, September 5, 2007 was declared "Ron Thompson Day in San Francisco" by Mayor Gavin Newsom.
