The Gaslight Anthem - History Books Tour

at The Warfield (7:30pm)
The Gaslight Anthem with Joyce Manor and The Dirty Nil

In 2022, The Gaslight Anthem returned to the stage for the first time in four years. Unlike those shows (which celebrated the ten-year anniversary of their breakthrough LP The '59 Sound), last year's tour explored every corner of the band's discography in festival and headline dates around the world. With the band working on new music for the first time in nearly a decade, these 2023 shows mark a new beginning for The Gaslight Anthem.

High-octane rock outfit the Gas Light Anthem have led a steady storm up the charts since releasing their debut album Sink or Swim in 2007. The hard-charging foursome are known for their energetic live shows, where frontman Brian Fallon lends his formidable pipes to anthems like "45" and "American Slang" while the band keeps pace with an impressive onslaught of driving guitar and pounding drums. With their fifth album Get Hurt hitting shelves in 2014, the band has fans eagerly awaiting their next live shows.

New Jersey rockers The Gaslight Anthem return with their eagerly anticipated new album, Get Hurt, on August 19 through Island Records. Recorded at the legendary Blackbird Studios in Nashville with producer Mike Crossey (The 1975, Arctic Monkeys and Jake Bugg), Get Hurt sees The Gaslight Anthem pushing their raw, stripped back rock 'n' roll into new territory, drawing on a fresh palette of influences ranging across folk, punk, and Americana. It is an album that is heavier, and yet at the same time more intimate, than anything they have produced to date.

Following the success of their 2012 album Handwritten - which charted in the Top 10 of the album charts across Europe and America, with the band playing Wembley Stadium, Glastonbury and Coachella along the way - The Gaslight Anthem's fifth studio album perfectly shows them thriving creatively while pushing their horizons artistically. It is a record that oozes the confidence of a band at the very top of their game.
