The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival

The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival takes place at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Regency Park. The festival features over 60 beers, 40 bourbons (everything from Jim Beam to Wild Turkey) and “lots of BBQ.” Is there anything else the South does better? Probably not, which is why North Carolina residents shouldn’t miss the Daddy of all BBQ festivals. The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival celebrates the best of booze & BBQ with lots of bonuses thrown in. This year’s festival admission gets attendees a “sampling glass” for an “All-You-Care-To-Taste” sampling of beer and bourbon, along with various food vendors. The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival also features live music, a mechanical bull, and a virtual all-you-can-eat supply of pulled pork, greens, slaw, French fries, okra and ribs.

Other Activities

The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival will welcome a number of lectures, tastings and music acts, including Phillip Bray, The Part Time Blues Band, the Ms. Bar-B-Q-Babe Contest, The Best Beer Belly Contest, The Kelly Bell Band, Bernie “The Whisky Professor” Lubbers, Jim Early, Author of “The Best Tar Heel Barbeque,” and more.
