Sub Society (Ciszak, Ghostea, Elz)

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Forgery and Verso (see times)
Over the past few months Sub Society has been in covert grind mode revamping our dance floor game plans and expanding our production for 2017.

We are excited to announce we have started a new relationship with several fresh venues in the City and have a lot of top notch events on the calendar.

This month we are bringing it back to our dirty tech house roots for our 2nd event at VERSO and our proud to announce our audio technicians this month are: CISZAK from Brazil, GHOSTEA, and ELZ

CISZAK: Brazil (Casual, Dirtybird, Inncorrect Music, Material)

Hailing from Brazil, Ciszak represents the new breed of house and tech house producers. Starting as a young musician and developing to a full time producer and DJ, Ciszak kicked off his career with a release on 303Lovers and Go Deeva. The impact was felt immediately, with both releases reaching the top of the tech house charts on Beatport.

From there, Ciszak caught the ear of one of dance music's biggest artists, Claude Vonstroke. This led to the release of “Hypnose” on Vonstroke’s seminal Dirtybird Records in 2015, another chart topper. Moving from strength to strength, Ciszak has released music on Mihalis Safras’ Material Music, Green Velvet’s Cajual Records and the growing UK outfit Suah. 2016 saw Ciszak’s return to Dirtybird with the release of the smash hit “I Want” to launch the brand new sister label Dirtybird Select. Yet again proving his unique sound, “I Want” soared to the top of the charts and made its way into the record bags of DJ’s around the world.

No rest for the wicked, an ever-growing global touring schedule and more music to be released.

Ghostea: Big Sur (Dirtybird, This Ain't Bristol, Perfect Driver, Nervous)

"From Jack Kerouac to the Beach Boys to Death Cab For Cutie, the idyllic and sparsely populated central Californian town of Big Sur has long served as a source of creative inspiration for artists on the move. Dirtybird and Perfect Driver-releasing Ghostea has made the place his home. Although we can't vouch for the clubbing scene there, the intrepid producer has benefitted from stepping out of the bustle of city-based dance scenes to hone his already classy house touch.

Ghostea is a mysterious sort of guy. He lives a quiet, mostly reclusive, slightly stoned life out in Big Sur and only ventures his way out of the tall trees for eccentric house raves up and down the west coast. His skills as both producer and DJ are undeniable, though, and as such he's racked up releases on Main Course, This Ain't Bristol, and Dirtybird with very little fuss.”

Elz: San Francisco

https://soundcloud.com/djelz

Being known for genre bending and crowd pleasing, she has mastered the art of reading the crowd and fitting the mood and setting of any party while always maintaining her musical integrity. Growing up listening to break beats, techno, and house music along with discovering classic rock, jazz, hip-hop, and funk music she learned how to incorporate all of these elements together to create some serious flavor.

She assisted in preparation for the launch of DJ Shadow Digital (The DJ Shadow Digital Store) and processed sound samples for the Dj Shadow digital store.

Be on the look out for her newest productions with lyrist Louis Hale from LA to be released in the upcoming months. In addition to her solo gigs she has also joined forces with another Kazbah resident DJ, Lawson Terrell, as the duo Something Dope, which incorporates Ableton and live bass performance to create a truly unique live set.
