San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) - Fort Mason

Founded in 1871, San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) is one of the country’s oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education in the practice and study of contemporary art. As a diverse community of working artists and scholars, SFAI provides undergraduate and graduate students with a rigorous education in the arts at both their main campus and graduate center, which will move to Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) in 2017.

The SFAI at Fort Mason features studios for MFA candidates, a student lounge, and 3,300 square feet of public-facing gallery space.
