Join the SJS Opera Theater in an evening of opera scenes
and sneak peeks. The first half of the program will be a
Romeo & Juliet pastiche consisting of scenes from
Gounod's Romeo et Juliette and Bernstein's West Side Story as
we tell the story of the ill-fated lovers. Narration of the text from Shakespeare’s classic
play will connect each musical number. The second half will be a sneak peek into our Spring
opera: Offenbach's Orpheus In the Underworld, famous for the
infamous Can-Can.
