The Gay Pride Parade, which takes over the streets of San Francisco this Sunday, is billed as the nationís largest LGBT celebration, but itís just one many events planned this week. With activities, events, and specials planned every day, being active isnít the problem ó settling for just one event is! Check out some of our favorites.


Now through July 10th: More Glitter - Less Bitter, The Photography of Daniel Nicoletta, 1975 Ė Present; Electric Works Gallery

Now through June 27th: Frameline34; Various Locations
As the world's largest and longest-running LGBT Film Festival, Frameline34 features independent film and media arts for 11 days of diverse, innovative, and socially relevant cinema. At Castro Theater and other venues; 429 Castro Street;

Now through June 30th: Generations HIV; Under One Roof
Participate in the short film, as Generation HIV creates a video highlighting the stories of individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Visit Under One Roof and check out the telling booth. 2pm to 7pm at Under One Roof; 518A Castro Street;

June 25th: Eden Comedy Show; Parc 55
Laughing can do wonders for the abs, so get fit for the weekend by checking out four of the funniest women in comedy: Dana Goldberg, Sandra Valls, Julie Goldman, and Gina Yashere. 8pm at Parc 55, Cyril Magnin Room; 55 Cyril Magnin Street;


June 25th: Dance Party: Gold Queers in the Night; 111 Minna
The keywords to know about this party: epic, major, dirty, freaky, sexy, sweaty. Expect nothing less as three of your favorite underground queer dance parties (Stay Gold, Blood Sweat & Queers, and Ships in the Night) unite to bring you this very special event. 9pm at 111 Minna; between Mission & Howard.

June 26th: Colussus: Pride Weekend Black & White Ball; Gift Center Pavilion
Will you be naughty or nice on Pride? Dress to impress, or dress less with DJ Tracy Young and Joe Gauthreaux spinning on the turntables. 10 pm at Gift Center Pavilion; 888 Brannan at Eighth Street;

June 26th: The Twilight Vixen Revue and SF Boylesque Q-baret Spectacular; The Garage
An all-male burlesque show promises to delight, but why settle for less when you can also check out queer showgirls! 8pm at The Garage; 975 Howard Street.

June 27th: Hot Mess; The Stud
The combo of Hot Mess and The Stud is arousing to anyoneís senses, so add yourself in the mix and be sure to bring a napkin. 10 pm at The Stud; 399 9th Street.
