Prescott Circus Theatre 2016 Student Showcase

Oakland-based nonprofit performing arts education program Prescott Circus Theatre will again present their annual Student Showcase on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Oakland Technical High School. Over 100 3rd-5th grade students from 9 Oakland elementary schools will perform in two shows at 11:00am and 1:30pm. With direction from actress, clown, and acrobat Tristan Cunningham and training from professional teaching artists, these talented Oakland youth will perform juggling, stilting, acrobatics, unicycle, hambone body percussion, hip-hop dance, and balancing acts. For the third year in a row, Prescott Circus students will again collaborate with the Oakland Spirit Orchestra (OSO), a youth orchestra featuring elementary and middle school students from five West Oakland public schools.
