Play Cafe, Inc. is a nonprofit organization, based in Berkeley, whose mission is to support the creation and development of new works by San Francisco Bay Area playwrights and composers.
Our programs include Scene Nights, Table Reads, Song Salons, Musical Cafe's Next Stages for the development of new musicals, and workshops for playwrights and composers.
Most of our programs are open to all, regardless of experience. Table Reads and Next Stages are juried. Our participants include both beginners and as well as writers with several productions. We are a supportive and friendly group.
