Laddies and Lassies,
Our spring fling is winding down with an EPIC ST. PATRICK'S DAY PERFORMANCE this Sunday at Milk Bar on Haight Street. Prepare yourself for a day of debauchery as the music rages and beers flow. The Sunset Warriors are just one of the bands strumming the strings for this, the Day of St. Patrick.
5PM - Sweet 100s, all-girl Americana complete with banjo, mandolin, flute, guitar and bass
7PM - THE SUNSET WARRIORS - your very own.
Keep in mind: this is our last scheduled show for a bit, although we will be spending the rest of our spring periodically stepping in as Sunday house band for Milk....
Either way, St. Patrick's day, of all days, is a reason to get into a bar, spill some beers on your friends while dancing, and generally just rock your Sunday away.
Come join us:
SUNDAY MARCH 17th
St. Patrick's Day
Milk Bar, 1840 Haight Street
5pm Sweet 100s
7pm The Sunset Warriors
The Sunset Warriors are a female-fronted, independent rock band based in San Francisco, California. Describing their sound as "neo-soul piano pop," The Sunset Warriors are clearly influenced by the beauty and diversity of the City. Started in 2010 by a couple of students (SFSU, UCB), The Sunset Warriors combine the pep and pop of Broadway with the soul of blues and classic rock to create a unique and powerful musical sound. Performing original tracks across the Bay Area, from bars like The Rockit Room, Brainwash, and Milk, to events like the 2012 Battle of the Bands (The Blue Macaw) and the 2012 Palo Alto International Film Festival, The Sunset Warriors have been compared to artists ranging from The Black Keys and No Doubt to The Yeah Yeah Yeah's and Joan Baez.
