Organic Gardening at Home!

Do you dream of harvesting your own fresh vegetables from your backyard or windowsill? Not sure where to start? Growing your own organic food doesn't have to be daunting! Join us on April 29th at Hidden Villa, a 1,600 acre nonprofit farm and wilderness preserve in Los Altos Hills, to learn how to grow organic at home. With the guidance of one of our knowledgeable farmers, you’ll gain insider insight into the best ways to grow your own salad with delicious tomatoes and greens, establish an awesome herb garden, start seedlings and construct a simple cold-frame, and create your own compost. You’ll learn firsthand through talking with our farmer, sampling yummy fresh veggies, and planting your own seedlings to take home . You’ll also be able to send us questions in advance when you register. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone seeking a more self-reliant and sustainable lifestyle, from beginning gardeners to those looking to expand their skills! Ages 15 and up.
