"13th Annual Culinary Clash 2024"
5:30pm/$55/Person
Six rising CCSF students take over Luce's world-class kitchen on three consecutive Mondays to showcase their very own three-course fine-dining menu (one team of two per evening) as they compete for scholarship and cash prizes. CCSF Culinary Arts & Hospitality Studies students gain unprecedented real-world kitchen experience while a panel of special guest judges (local media luminaries and social media influencers) and Dennis Efthymiou (Luce, Chef de Cuisine) judge the tasting menus to see which ones truly stand out in flavor, technique, pricing, and originality. Culinary Clash 2024 is open to the public and tickets are $55/person.

1st Course: Scallop Crudo Kinilaw (Raw Scallop with Seaweed Consomme, Malunggay, Sea Beans, Palapa Coconut Foam, Cucumber, Sampaguita/Passionflower)
2nd Course: Beef Cheek Kare Kare (Slow-Braised Beef Cheek with Toasted Peanut, Sesame, Guajillo & Pasilla Pepper Sauce with Bone Marrow & Bagoong, Charred Fiddlehead Fern & Charred, Rice Vinegar & Koji Pickled Eggplant, Sunchoke & Taro Puree, Fried Shallots)
3rd Course: Miso Taho (Miso & Tofu Ice Cream, Tamarind Curd, Bay Leaf Cassava Cake, Toasted Rice Streusel, Kumquat)

1st Course: Passion Fruit Ceviche (Heirloom Blue Corn Chips)
2nd Course: Mole Verde with Herb Marinated Lamb Chops (Yucca Duchess, Charred Rainbow Carrots)
3rd Course: Strawberry Cinnamon Tres Leches

1st Course: Amaebi Sashimi (Jicama, Yuzu Parsley Pearls, Grapefruit Foam, Tomato Consommé)
2nd Course: Black Garlic & Cumin Char Siu Pork (Au Jus, Parsnip Purée, Lotus Root Chips, Tempura Maitake Mushrooms)
3rd Course: Jasmine Oolong Panna Cotta (Blood Orange Sauce, Pistachio Streusel, Edible Flowers)

Since 2012, the Culinary Clash has expanded to include other InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) properties in San Francisco to as far as Mexico City, raising more than $150,000 in scholarship across the Americas. IHG proudly supports aspiring local chefs through singular culinary initiatives.
