Le P'tit Laurent in San Francisco to Host Beaujolais Nouveau Celebration

Le P'tit Laurent in San Francisco will be celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau, the “first wine” of the harvest season, on Thursday, November 21, by offering a special $37.00 three-course prix fixe dinner menu served from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. There will be live jazz played by the Dave Parker Quartet. The restaurant's regular a la carte menu will also be available.
The special menu includes a fresh apple and Serrano ham salad with parmesan cheese and a Beaujolais reduction dressing; Beef Bourguignon in a Beaujolais Nouveau sauce; and a Napoleon layered with fresh pear poached in Beaujolais Nouveau and served with vanilla ice cream.
Beaujolais Nouveau is a traditional French holiday that celebrates the release of the Beaujolais Nouveau wine. Made from the Gamay grape, this wine is similar to a light bodied Pinot Noir and has fresh, youthful, and fruity flavors that pair perfectly with autumn dishes. By law, it is celebrated on the third Thursday of November every year.
Proprietor Laurent Legendre opened Le P'tit Laurent in 2007. Born and raised in Paris, Legendre studied at the internationally acclaimed École Hôtelière and worked at top Parisian restaurants including La Tour d'Argent, Elysée Lenôtre, L'Arpège, and Amphycles. While on vacation in the United States, he fell in love with San Francisco, decided to make it his home, and opened Clementine Restaurant and Bistro Clement prior to Le P'tit Laurent.
Le P’tit Laurent Restaurant is located at 699 Chenery Street, at the corner of Diamond Street, in San Francisco, California. The restaurant is open nightly for dinner, Sunday through Thursday from 5.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. Sunday brunch is served from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Neighborhood street parking is available.
