At La Cocina, we're holding space for conversation. An opportunity for chefs, food business owners, and policy makers to come together to discuss how we can collaboratively grow equitable communities through food.
April 16th - Evening Welcome & Opening Reception April 17th - 9am - 5pm Conference at Golden Gate Club in San Francisco PresidioApril 18th - 9am - 7pm Conference Walking Tours and Working Groups & Closing Reception - Multiple Locations
The La Cocina Conference invites chefs, placemakers, and policy activists to gather around our table for a conversation about the role of food in inclusivity, equity, and economic justice. These conversations will happen by eating and walking through neighborhoods, learning from experts, and connecting with like-minded attendees. The conference is designed to inspire action within our communities and further abroad and to foster delicious, and occasionally uncomfortable, talks at our dinner tables.
We can't wait to see you all! Our conference will begin on the evening of Monday April 16th with an opening reception. On April 17th, registration and breakfast will begin at 9am and an opening plenary will kick off at 10am. We will have a full day of inspiring conversations in the Presidio. On Wednesday the 18th, we will host a full day of hands-on walking tours and working groups on April 18th throughout the Bay Area capped off by a closing reception (to be finished by 7pm). Further details are on our website.
