Owner/chef Catherine Troosh serves up classic Russian dishes. Some of her best dishes include: borsch with beets and cabbage, beef stroganoff, pelmeni (beef dumplings), and piroshki (oval pastries filled with beef, mushroom or cabbage). The entrees come with a side of fresh vegetables like sautéed squash and steamed baby carrots. If you have dessert, try the chocolate meringue.
The place is cute, enhanced by live, traditional Russian music. Katia's also offers traditional Russian high-tea parties (minimum service for 10) with an assortment of house-baked Russian pastries.
