SFAI Concentrate - Student Art Sale and Open Studios

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The Annual Student Art Sale and Open Studios at San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) is a chance to discover the work of the next Annie Leibovitz or Kehinde Wiley, who were both students at SFAI before becoming the famous figures they are today.

The two-day sale, taking place at SFAI’s new Fort Mason Campus Saturday and Sunday, November 10 and 11, 2018, is a chance to explore and purchase the work of over 100 emerging artists working in a wide variety of media including current undergraduates, graduate students, and even faculty.

In addition to the sale, there are chances to tour the open studios, see short film screenings, and more...

Visitors to the free event can also enjoy studio tours, film screenings, an artist talk, and food and drink (available for purchase).

In addition, the public is invited to pop over to the Diego Rivera Gallery at the historic Chestnut Street Campus to see a special two-day only exhibition, Into the World: Cherel Ito and SFAI Documentary Photography. Ito was a vibrant and active student in the Photography Department in the late 60s. In context with Ito's work, the exhibit shows work by SFAI Alumni who have also ventured out into the world with their cameras including Ken Graves, Mimi Plumb, Wesaam Al-Badry, Desiree Rios, Adrian Burrell, Mika Sperling, John and Mary Collier, Li Chen, Dennis Hearne, Lonnie Graham, Janet Delaney, and Peter de Lory.
