Classic tracks like “Larchmont,” “Back the Fuck Up,” and his most-recent stormer “Get Murked” have been cained on BBC Radio 1 and by dance music dons like Fracture, Om Unit, Toddla T and Digital, while his labels Rubik and Shoot Recordings are continually on the cutting edge of up-tempo sounds. Shit, he’s rocked from Tokyo to Fabric in London, but who is Calculon really? How did this handsome California lad become such a motherfucking behemoth of bass music murder? Sonar is a stage name of Gratas Sparnauskas, California, San Francisco based musician and visual designer from Vilnius, Lithuania. An artist that pushes his sound beyond his musical comfort in attempt to create innovative music, departing from the norm and crossing various musical influences to achieve his elaborate sound palette. Always learning how to better express himself through music, in his production and his DJ sets, Sonar intends to create energetic, bass heavy, rich sounds with emotive and melodic soundscapes.
Performing in front of crowds for over a decade now, his sound is deeply rooted in genres such as: Hip-Hop, Reggae, Funk, Retro, Jazz, UK Garage and House. Once discovering the energetic break of Jungle in 2002, ever since, drum and bass has become a way of life. A resident DJ of San Francisco’s renowned Stamina Sundays from 2011-2013, since, Gratas has dedicated time for developing and fine-tuning his technical production skills that have been finally catching up with his creative abilities. After completing his Recordings Arts studies, Sonar continues to innovate and grow as an artist and a musical performer.

Since becoming a DJ in 2000, Hijinx has incorporated her love of many different genres into her sets: liquid drum & bass, house, breaks, progressive, and really, just whatever’s good.
She is also a resident DJ and member of the nonprofit spiritual dance-based collective, the Rhythm Society, a community made up of culture visionaries, artists, musicians, and DJs, as well as resident of Decadent Oasis camp at Burning Man.
She’s been fortunate to share the bill with international talents like The Scumfrog, DJ Icey, Hybrid, Lee Coombs, Bassbin Twins, D:Fuse, Richard Humpty Vision, Mark Grant, Lorin Bassnectar, and Sandra Collins.
She’s also been featured in two seminal works about the global dance and art subculture: the Burning Man documentary “Beyond Black Rock” and the book, “Trance Formation: The Spiritual and Religious Dimensions of Global Rave Culture” by Robyn Sylvan, Ph.D.
