Detroit International Jazz Festival

The Detroit International Jazz Festival has been a long running Detroit staple for over 30 years, welcoming visitors and locals to experience “one of America’s most important art forms.” This year’s festival will take place over four days from September 4th-7th and feature jazz acts on five different stages. The DIJF gives its attendees a great reason to explore Detroit, as the festival will be spread out over several blocks around the downtown region. DIJG will be active from Hart Plaza to Campus Martius and also features a number of other attractive activities: educational programs, giant puppets, fireworks and opportunities to meet and chat with the festival’s jazz musicians are just the icing on the cake.
