Delilah Crown

The Deep South in North Beach

"Ya'll kin f-i-i-i-nd the South in North Beach." The spirit of all those Emma Kelly's or Betty Lou's breathes heavily in Kristina De Pizzol's three-month young boutique, Delilah Crown, where elegant dresses, versatile handbags, custom note cards, and satiny throw pillows fill this sunny white parlor. The antebellum south pervades throughout Delilah Crown, a true belle's name created by De Pizzol herself.

What really draws a visit to Delilah Crown is the beautiful clothing that Kristina finds from new young designers and from her own studio. Twinkle's emerald green Victorian silk blouses ($298) glisten with matching silk buttons. The ruched skirt ($398) pairs beautifully and harkens a bit to Scarlett O'hara's gown made from those green velvet curtains when she couldn't find anything to wear.

Other stand-out pieces include Johnny Cotton's beautifully striped button-down shirts and Saja's floral dresses that flounce with each step. They all compliment the beautiful pieces that Kristina designs.

Kristina's own designs draw inspiration of that sassy spirit from our Deep South women. Don this season's hottest look, which is a tweed suit with a Peter Pan collar. Or slip into a flared striped skirt that is topped with a silk Grecian camisole. You can find a number of complete ensembles of your own choice. Her items are limited in production so finding something unique to wear that won't be worn by another is quite a treat.

In addition to her range of elegant and feminine clothing, Kristina also designs her own note cards and home décor. Along the shelves sit colorful pillows in orange organza or in red with white dandelion graphics. In the corner "ya'll" can find designs of her note cards which make stylish thank-you notes to send (which is always the proper decorum amongst the women of the South).

Furthermore, Delilah Crown's line of handbags have recently been featured in Lucky Magazine. They range in fabric and styles such as the Strolling Bag ($90) which sports convenient outside pockets for your mobile phone. There are also the whimsical Watermelon Bags ($52) that fit nicely over your shoulders.

For the holiday, Delilah Crown promises dresses in rich and deep color palettes splashed in ethereal creations that befit the romantic and modern looks for this winter. Productions are limited so ya'll may have to pick up that dilly-dally pace to grab your looks before it's gone, ya hear?
