CRISTOPH

SEE EVENT DETAILS
2018 was a monster year for progressive house star, Cristoph. From killing it in Europe all summer, supporting Eric Prydz on dozens of shows, and headlining a slew of his own shows, he's poised to take over 2019 as one of the most in demand DJs on the planet.

From sneaking into his local club to DJ as a teen, to performing a season-wide residency at Ibiza's newest and most extravagant club, UK producer & DJ Cristoph's journey to global stardom is a tale of passion and hard-work, underpinned by a supreme talent and energy which has seen the British artist catapult into the eyes -- and ears -- of dance music's biggest names.Inspired by the Chicago house scene whilst growing up in Northern England, Cristoph sought influence from the sounds of acts like Masters At Work and the progressive tones of Sasha & Digweed, as well as his own upbringing. With Cristoph's brother landing him his first spot in a local Newcastle venue, the DJ's father was the figure responsible in the purchase of his first pair of decks. Mastering his craft on vinyl, Cristoph soon started to hone his talents in the studio, receiving his first big break via the tutorship of Hot Since 82, aka Daley Padley. "Daley changed the game," adds Cristoph. "He blended deep house bass-lines with more progressive parts and was the first to really support me."Following his widely supported release 'Alone' on Knee Deep In Sound, it was a meeting with another of dance music's A-List names that change the course of Cristoph's future when Eric Prydz -- impressed by the quality of the Geordie's crisp productions on acclaimed EP '8-track' -- watched him perform on numerous occasions and offered the him a spot on his new 'Pryda Presents' project. "Eric has always given me self belief and confidence,"Cristoph beams.Bringing his atmospheric productions to all corners of the globe, Cristoph's sumptuous tones have seen the DJ play at various festivals and events, including Tomorrowland, Hideout, Parklife, Creamfields, Ultra Miami, & EDC Las Vegas, but it was his residency at Hï Ibiza which shot his unique talent into the public consciousness. Performing weekly across a 3-month residency, Cristoph found himself dropping his massive anthems such as 'Voice of Silence,' 'EPOCH,' "Alone" and the forthcoming CamelPhat collaboration 'Breathe' -- with the latter staking a claim as Ibiza's 'track of the season' judging by the rapturous Hï reception.Having previously released on iconic labels such as Bedrock, Suara, Noir, Last Night On Earth, and Yoshi Toshi, there's no time for Cristoph to look to the past. A keen Newcastle United supporter, and family man, the future is already packed with ideas for Cristoph, who states the future creation of his own label and event series as all possible ventures on his ever-expanding tick-list. Heading into 2019 and beyond, dance music's fastest rising talent is just getting started!
