In November 2013, the old Sacred Heart Church on Fell and Fillmore Streets in San Francisco had been lying dormant for nearly 10 years when SF's roller skaters came in, cleaned up the place, updated the lighting, the sound, built new skate racks and more!!! Come on down and go for a roll in one of the coolest places in the Cuty - the Church of 8 Wheels - San Francisco Roller Disco!!!
Today the Church of 8 Wheels is one of those unique "Only in San Francisco" experiences that expresses the essence of what makes San Francisco such a great place to live!!! It's "Best of the Bay" 2014 and 2015 in San Francisco Magazine, "Best of the Bay" 2014 and 2015 in S.F. Weekly, "Best of the Bay 2014" S.F. Bay Guardian with huge write ups in the Chronicle, The Bold Italic, Yelp and other blogs and websites both here and abroad!!! Even film documentaries have been made on the Church of 8 Wheels.
Please come get your skate groove on at the CO8W. We spread "rolligion" every Thursday from 7PM to 10PM. On Fridays we open at 7PM to 11PM. Saturdays has skate lessons from 1PM to 2PM. Then the Kids and Family Session from 3PM to 5PM. Saturday night we roll from 7PM to 11PM.
The cost is $10 to enter and $5 for skate rentals. David “D” Miles, the “GodFather of Skate” in San Francisco will be your MC/DJ minister spreading the word of the old school funk and roller disco music that is the main source of our rolligious energy.
