Theater: Comedy, Clowns & Hula

This week, Norm MacDonald, To Bury A Cat and Na Lei Hulu I Ka Wekiu take the stage.

Best known for his stint on SNL and his starring role in Dirty Work, Norm MacDonald is a seasoned comedy vet — catch him this Thursday through Sunday at Cobb’s Comedy Club.

This Friday through Sunday, catch To Bury A Cat: A Clown Show at NOHspace. Both cat lovers and haters will laugh and love as a woman tries to part with her dead cat. How do a bunch of clowns fit into this mess? Watch and find out.

Starting this Saturday, the award-winning, globe-trotting dance troupe, Na Lei Hulu I Ka Wekiu performs The Hula Show 2011, at the Palace of Fine Arts. The company performs both traditional and contemporary hula, complete with chants, skirts and music. In their closing performances (Saturday October 22 and Sunday October 23), the Golden Gate Men’s Chorus will perform an a cappella performance in collaboration with the dancers.
