Susan Shillinglaw has made a name for herself in the circle of those who know John Steinbeck as an author. Join us as she discusses her new book, Carol & John Steinbeck: Portrait of a Marriage. Every once in a while "John Steinbeck" (portrayed by local wonderment Taelen Thomas) will appear and speak and Professor Shillinglaw will transform and become the spitting image of "Carol Steinbeck." The two will perform memorable scenes of their life together as they live in 1930s Monterey County. Folk-singer Steven Mortensen will accompany this lively presentation with the timely songs of Woody Guthrie.
