SF Station Blows It Up

1. Jason Mraz @ The Fillmore, San Francisco, April 5, 2008

Walking into The Fillmore on Saturday night you always imagine seeing a great show and having a good time and this was one of those nights. From the first step that I took towards the stage, I knew this was going to be a show for the people with magician Justin Kredible, Bushwalla and The Makepeace Brothers and Jason gusting on all their sets. The man played like 5 hours. The fans most definitely got their dollars worth with Jason doing almost a 3hr set of his own stuff and that rocked the house.

2. Groove Armada @ Mezzanine, San Francisco, April 3, 2008

The legendary electronic duo Groove Armada performed at Mezzanine last Friday night and I now believe that electronic music is still alive and kicking. Running around through a 900+ crowd and taking pictures is not always fun but when you have great music, great people and a little bit of booz itís a blast. If you missed the show -- man are you sorry.

3. The Cribs @ Popscene, San Francisco, April 3, 2008

UK punks The Cribs hit Popscene to a packed house last week with a fury of a storm. They performed smash after smash to a crowd that not only knew every tune as if it was burned into their minds but also danced like they were possessed. I have to give it to The Cribs who gave it their all even while dealing with some technical difficulties. In true punk fashion Ryan even jumped in to the crowd and nearly lost his shirt; I guess punk isnít dead.
